 February 2025 UCVH Artist of the Month: Peggy Moon

Peggy Moon is a local artist with deep roots to the area going back to the 1800’s.  She is the mother of three adult children and the grandmother to seven.  She recently retired after 34 years of working with individuals with cognitive disabilities and she is a lifelong lover of horses and other animals.

Peggy has dabbled in art all her life, but in recent years has become more serious and has studied with local art instructor Barbara Nedd. She also has become an active member of the Connecticut River Artisan Group and has been selling and exhibiting her paintings.  Peggy’s art is mostly based in watercolor, and she has recently begun to include mixed media in her work.  She is deeply influenced by local landmarks and on a summer day you can sometimes catch her painting outdoors (Plein Air). The Artist of the Month is a collaborative effort between the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital and CRAG.
