People’s Choice Art Exhibit

The Old Home Day Celebration in Pittsburg, NH will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023.  As part of the Pittsburg Old Home Day Celebration, the Connecticut River Artisan Group sponsors the “People’s Choice” art show, featuring the work of area visual artists. The event is open to anyone.
Artists may drop off their original art work (Paintings, Photographs, 3D Art) at the CRAG tent between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m., the morning of August 19th. Each artist may submit up to three pieces of art in each category. All paintings and photographs must have a wire suitable for hanging. 

Visitors to the exhibit will be asked to vote for their favorite piece of art. Judging will be open to visitors until 1 p.m. Winners will be announced at 2 p.m. and ribbons will be awarded.  Artists should be prepared to leave their work on exhibit until 3:00 p.m. and should make arrangements to remove their work at that time. All participating artists will be asked to sign a release of liability.

A number of people indicated they were impressed with the quality of the paintings/photographs exhibited.  
 
This mural was painted by Pittsburg students, Ashley Bolton, Dillon Brooks, Ryan Egan, Willow Guild, Austin Keysar, Tanis Place, Libby Placey, and Jessica Tracy as part of their studies relating to the Color wheel and the proper placement of primary, secondary colors, analogs, and tints and shades. The project was coordinated by Deb Sargent.
