As part of the Moose Festival in Canaan, the Connecticut River Artisan Group (CRAG) sponsors the “People’s Choice” art show, featuring the work of area artists. Over 250 people voted for their favorite work of art during the exhibit on August 23, 2025.
Winners in the painting category are: First Place, “Elk Tamer”, Dennis Stevens; Second Place, “Bishop Brook Road”, Dennis Stevens; Third Place, “Lake Sunset”, Terrie Herr; Fourth Place, “Hibiscus”, Evie Moder and “Old House”, Janet Hart; Honorable Mention, “Springtime Folly”, Terri Herr; “Flower”, Pat Klinefelter; “Pastel Swamp”, Cheryl Cote.
Winners in the photo category are: First Place, “Winter Waterfall”, Valentina Gooch; Second Place, “Port Headlight”, Cheryl Smith; Third Place, “Lighthouse”, Cheryl Smith.
Winners in the 3D category are: First Place, “Blue Blue Owl”, Lori Bach; Second Place, “Baby Bear”, Carol Reynolds.
