CRAG in collaboration with Fiddleheads, a retail establishment in Colebrook, has a gallery where monthly exhibits are hung. A different theme is selected for each exhibit and a reception, where people can meet the artists, is hosted by CRAG and Fiddleheads. SEE EXHIBIT SCHEDULE BELOW.
CRAG is a “grassroots” organization consisting of artists and artisans. The mission of the group is to promote the arts and provide opportunities and support to new and established artists and artisans.
CRAG is committed to promoting and supporting artists and artisans as far north as Coaticook, Quebec; southerly to Littleton, NH; westerly to St. Johnsbury/Newport VT; and easterly to Maine.
Art must be the original creation of the artist, suitable for hanging and should meet the high standards of CRAG. Art must exhibit a high level of skill, technique and craftsmanship as well as display artistic vision and originality.
Applications are considered on a case-by-case basis. Determination of the jury is based on the impact, creativity and passion of the artist that reflects a dedication to the arts.
Artists applying for juried status must be a member of CRAG. Membership information is available by clicking on the membership button on this website or in person at Fiddleheads, located on Main Street in Colebrook.
Once applicants have met jury requirements, acceptance into the show is at the discretion of the Gallery Committee. Items must be presented in a professional manner. Artwork should be in clean frames that are in good repair with clean glass.
In order to exhibit at our gallery, individuals must be juried by the gallery committee. Our “Starving Artists Silent Auction” was a wonderful hit this year, exceeding past years fundraising goals! We can’t thank all of you enough for your continued support of our arts organization and your participation in the auction. It helps in a major way to allow CRAG to continue to sponsor classes and events throughout the year in the North Country! These funds along with grant monies allow us to provide classes, exhibits, expanding our Sculpture Walk at the GNWCA Arts Center, Plein Air activities and so much more!
